DaVinci Resolve Keyboard Shortcuts Cheat Sheet 2026 (Free PDF Download)
Updated for: DaVinci Resolve 21 | Mac & Windows/Linux modifier keys included
Blackmagic Design doesn't publish a single official up-to-date shortcuts PDF for Resolve 21 โ only the in-app Keyboard Customization panel (Cmd+Opt+K / Ctrl+Alt+K) and older per-version PDFs. This page compiles the shortcuts that are stable and cross-verified across recent Resolve versions, organized by page, so you can actually memorize them.

| Action | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Play forward / reverse (JKL shuttle) | J (reverse), K (pause), L (forward) |
| Mark In / Out point | I / O |

| Insert edit | F9 |
| Overwrite edit | F10 |
| Add edit marker | M |

F9 and F10 behavior (insert vs overwrite) is one of the most commonly confused pairs under deadline pressure โ worth drilling separately.
3. Color Page (Node & Grading Shortcuts)
| Action | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Add serial node | Alt/Opt + S |
| Add parallel node | Alt/Opt + P |
| Add layer node | Alt/Opt + Y |
| Add node (default) | Ctrl/Cmd + D |
| Toggle grade on/off (bypass) | D |
| Reset node grade | Shift + D (varies by build โ verify in your Keyboard Customization panel) |
| Grab still / Save still | Grab: Ctrl/Cmd + Grab Still shortcut in Gallery panel |
The Color page has dozens of unassigned actions (panel toggles, AI tools). Open Keyboard Customization and filter by "Unassigned" to see what you can bind yourself.
4. Fusion Page
Most individual Fusion node types don't have a dedicated hotkey โ you'll use the node search popup for almost everything:
| Action | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Open node search / add tool | Shift + Spacebar |
| Fit view to nodes | Shift + F (varies) โ or scroll/zoom on trackpad |
5. Fairlight Page
Fairlight has some of the largest gaps in Resolve's default shortcut coverage โ most panel toggles, EQ, and AI audio tools have no hotkey by default. Common ones:
| Action | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Solo track | S |
| Mute track | M |
| Normalize audio | Right-click clip > Normalize (no default hotkey) |
6. Switching From Another Editor?
DaVinci Resolve ships two built-in keyboard presets: DaVinci Resolve (default) and DaVinci Resolve Cut (optimized for the Cut page and Speed Editor hardware). You can also import a Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro 7, or Avid Media Composer keyboard layout from the Keyboard Customization panel (Ctrl/Cmd+Alt/Opt+K) โ a huge time-saver if you're switching NLEs.
